As a private, non profit destination marketing organization, the Bureau connects planners with the city’s venues, hotels, DMCs, and specialized service providers while positioning Cartagena as a leading international MICE destination. Its Board of Directors includes permanent representation from public, business, and academic stakeholders, ensuring strong public private alignment and a shared vision for destination competitiveness.
In addition, the Bureau:
Leads the Cartagena Meetings Industry Cluster, fostering coordination, innovation, and long term sector development.
Promotes territorial and business growth by attracting high impact meetings and events.
Represents the meetings industry on the Board of the Cartagena Tourism Corporation, strengthening destination wide alignment.
Is an active member of the National Network of Convention Bureaux of Colombia, contributing to coordinated national positioning.
